1. I can't see all the program, parts of the windows are off the screen.

Problem: Your screen resolution is to small. Software for Feng Shui is designed to run on a screen size of at least 800x600. It is likely that your screen is set to a smaller size.

Solution: Use the Start button to open the Settings/Control Panel window. Then select the Display Icon by double clicking. Pick the Settings dialog and reset the screen size to at least 800x600 pixels.

2. I can see the program, but the text on the dialogs doesn't fit the screen.

Problem: Your screen has the Font size set to Large Fonts.

Solution: Use the Start button to open the Settings/Control Panel window. Then select the Display Icon by double clicking. Pick the Settings dialog and reset the font size to Small Fonts.

3. I have downloaded the upgrade from the website, but it doesn't work.

Problem: (1) You need to unpack the program and copy it into the original Fengshui directory. (2) You do not have the original version which must be purchased through the website.

Solution: (1) Open Windows Explorer and find the download directory into which the upgrade file has been copied. Double Click on it and a file called Fengshui.exe will be created. Copy this file into C:\Program Files\FengShui

4. The buttons down the left hand side of the screen do not work.

Problem: On some Windows systems the icons do not respond to the Mouse.

Solution: On the main screen of the Fengshui program, point at the background picture and Right Click with the Mouse. A pop-up menu appears - select the "Hide Toolbar" option, and the grey panel behind the icons will be removed. The icons will now operate OK.

5. I thought that my Chinese Animal was the Dog, but the program tells me I am a Cockerel - who is right ?

Problem: In Chinese philosophy there are 2 calendars - the Solar calendar (HSIA) and the Lunar Calendar. These both have different New Year dates, so if you were born before the middle of February and are used to the Lunar Calendar, you may find a difference.

Solution: Software for Feng Shui allows you to choose from either calendar. Click on the "File" menu, and select the "System Options" item. Then click on the Solar or Lunar buttons in the Four Pillars Dates box to choose the Calendar you are used to.
